open heart surgery

This is one of many sketches i've been doing for our surgical illustration course. There are abundant errors, so i'm still working on it! And i'm rather haphazard when it comes to pen & ink... Also working on that!

sakura microns on tracing paper, 11x14"

Okay i think i'm done art-dumping - i panicked when i realized it was the end of February and that i haven't been updating... xD;;;

cute warning!

i needed to draw something that was disgustingly cute! Don't ask me what these are for hahaha. 8D;;;

i finally bought a Sakura Micron brush pen and i did this doodle with it. :)

Aside from school work, i seem to oscillate between monochromatic portraits of girls and chibi drawings...

february life drawing

School has been keeping me busy, i shall post some sketches from class tomorrow!
i haven't been drawing well in open life drawing this past month, but i figured i'd post a couple images...

charcoal on newsprint, 18x24"

i wasn't doing well with charcoal, so i swapped materials with my friend! i saw someone else add CG to their life drawing, and i wanted to give it a shot...

graphite on paper + Photoshop CS4, 8.5x11"

i think i'm just too tired lately to concentrate well during life drawing! Must keep practicing! ;-;

fish!

i apologize for the lack of updates - i've been doing a lot of sketches for class lately, but nothing really post-worthy/too lazy to scan! This image was supposed to be a sketch as well, but i got really carried away because hey, i really like drawing fish (and according to some, i have some sort of fish complex...). i will attempt to model this in Cinema4D very soon... D:

SAI 1.01 + Photoshop CS4

i started using SAI again, and boy does it blend nicely! But i ended up bringing the image into Photoshop for the finer details.

be my valentine!

Happy (early) Valentine's Day!

My colleagues and i are really excited about the upcoming tri-campus exchange at Georgia and the annual AMI meeting in Portland. However, these trips are going to be insaaaanely expensive (especially the AMI meeting) so we're hoping to raise some funds by selling Valentine's Day cards on campus!

Be my valentine!

i will be posting a compilation of everyone's designs once we get them all in. Look forward to it! :)
