open heart surgery

This is one of many sketches i've been doing for our surgical illustration course. There are abundant errors, so i'm still working on it! And i'm rather haphazard when it comes to pen & ink... Also working on that!

aortic valve replacement (surgical field)

Okay i think i'm done art-dumping - i panicked when i realized it was the end of February and that i haven't been updating... xD;;;

I think the depth in this one is a lot better/obvious than the sketch you showed me! GO GO BLACKS! You are good at inks!

Somewhat jealous that you've seen more surgery than I have. Then again, watching surgery can be pretty boring too...

@j: i think so too, but our sequential has to be in pencil so not sure how i'm going to pull it off?? And noooo need to practice more with inks and become pro like you!

@Andrew: You'll get there soon enough! :)

Hey, this is a weird request, but I had this op 5 years ago and I love this sketch. I don't suppose you'd be up for emailing me a copy. I'd love to put it on a t-shirt?
